Here are a sample of the photos from the Easter 2013 Markets in Hill End. More photos can be found on our web album.
The weather was perfect and the crowds were ready to part with their money!
This year we had an abundance of new stalls and goodies on offer and Mr G, the Hill End Public School headmaster turned up with his 1942 Willys Jeep offering rides around town to those who purchased raffle tickets to help the school.
This was a great opportunity to showcase some local craft and bric-a-brac, collectables, camping gear, clothing and books sold side by side with a lovely selection of imported goods.
Two of our crafty volunteers supplied the masses with Lemon Butter and homemade jams and pickles, which were a great success and the bric-a-brac, collectibles and the homespun and hand knitted accessories were walking out the door.
The success of our Saturday sausage sizzle ensured that we have enough funds for another newsletter and with Dennis & Vince in charge it is now becoming the “fast food” outlet of Hill End, with repeat visits from the appreciative tourists and locals alike.
