The weather on Saturday 2nd March wasn’t the best but, despite all that, the numbers still turned up on the day. We welcomed many new faces to our Gathering as well as many familiar ones. In Lorraine’s absence (at a family wedding) Bea took on the job of welcoming the Group and she was ably assisted by the other volunteers who looked after the bookstall, “meet & greet” and the all important hot water urn, with tea and coffee supplied. Once again photographer, Di, captured the mood of the day and by the intense look on the faces of those who took advantage of the resources provided it was obvious that interest in the ancestors and the region in general is still paramount.
The Gathering will be held on Saturday 1st March 2014 – put the date in the diary NOW!
